I must admit, I’m a bit of a single shot kind of guy….Nothing at all against the multiple image blending trend of the last few years, but I personally find great satisfaction in capturing an image in a single frame if technically possible. Shooting Medium Format helps this a great deal, but it also teaches you to be technically meticulous and really nail down your camera craft on location. Not quite sharp is just not good enough at 100 megapixels.
North Curl Curl is a bit of a Sydney favourite of mine and I’ve shot it under many and varying conditions. However, I’ve always had a persistent vision that if given the ultimate conditions, it could yield something really special. I’ll let you be the judge of this, but I’m very proud of this image and reminded that patience and perseverance always pays in this game….
